Green Dracule Mihawk (Mihawk) is the rest/control pile people keep calling the OP17 deck to beat. This page is the other half of that sentence: which leaders actually win the game, using Limitless pairings from the OP17 window plus public writeups.
Across 16 events, 243 Mihawk lists, and 832 decided games since 28 August 2026, Mihawk is 432–400 overall (51.9%). He is favored against Rocks and most Slash leaders. He is behind against Robin, Ace, and Sabo, the three decks you should register if the room is full of hawks.
The lists on this site average Perona, Law & Bepo, Kin'emon, Kouzuki Oden, the Mihawk character, and Dead Man's Game. Thornberry’s OP17 Mihawk writeup (pre-release testing) flags ST32 Oden as the midgame that makes the engine clean, and OP17-022 Shanks as the new 10-cost Rush rest-the-board finisher that can chain into Electrical Luna. That package is why he looks unbeatable in mirrors and vs Rocks: he recycles DON!!, freezes the board, then drops a 12000 Rush.
Decks that beat him do not try to win a rest war. They race life, ignore a frozen board, or present yellow 10-costs Mihawk cannot comfortably rest-and-pass.

The most common Mihawk pairing in this window: 165 games. Sabo is only slightly ahead (52.1%), but that is the matchup you will actually play. New Realm listed red/black Sabo next to Mihawk and Rocks as an early Tier 1 choice because it can pressure and still interact. Curve, mulligan, and tech: Sabo strategy.
Biggest reliable hole in the data. Robin won 47 of 80 decided games (58.8%). Purple/Yellow Robin presents 10-cost threats and yellow life tools that do not care if Mihawk rests the board. If you want a hosted list that actually beats him in volume, start here.
Ace went 26–19 (57.8%). New Realm’s 1 September OP17 report called red Ace the deck that punishes slower or unrefined lists. Mihawk’s engine spends a turn locking the board; Ace spends that turn attacking life. Curve, mulligan, and tech: Portgas D. Ace strategy.
Luffy & Ace went 10–8 (55.6%) in 18 games. Same red-green rush problem as Ace, with a 5-life leader that can ignore a rested board if the curve stays on time.
Yellow Crocodile went 9–4 in 13 games. We do not host a Crocodile hub, so this row is Limitless pairings only.
UP Luffy went 9–3 in a smaller 12-game sample (75%). Treat the percentage as directional, not a lock, but the direction is the same as Ace: a tempo deck that races rest control.
Linlin is 7–2 in only 9 games (77.8%). Too small to rank her as the best hawk hunter, but yellow swarm plus 10-cost Big Mom bodies is the same class of problem Robin presents.
Newgate is 6–2 in 8 games. Same red Whitebeard family as Ace. Useful as a tell, not a finished ranking.

New Realm’s 1 September 2026 OP17 report put green Mihawk in early Tier 1 with Rocks and Sabo, and called him “the deck to beat.” That matches the volume here (243 hawk lists in two weeks) but not the pairing results vs Sabo and Ace. New Realm also said Ace “punishes slower or unrefined decks,” which is exactly the 57.8% Ace showing in this sample.
Thornberry’s tester called Mihawk the best green deck in OP17 testing and highlighted the Slash bonus. That tracks the 70% Mihawk record vs OP17 Shanks (10 games) and the 64.7% vs Gecko Moria. If you are on a Slash leader, you are giving him a 6000-power leader for free.
OPDeckGuide’s Mihawk article is an older OP14/OP15 curve guide. Its matchup strip (plus vs Imu / Ace / Luffy, slight minus vs Boa / Doffy) is not the current OP17 table. Ace flipped: the old guide called it positive for Mihawk; OP17 pairings have Ace ahead. Use that page for mulligan and curve, not for who to register today.
The public blurb on Metafy’s OP17 Mihawk guide describes the same identity: tempo-control that freezes characters and wins late. We did not copy the paid matchup chapter. The Limitless numbers above are the free substitute.
We pulled constructed Limitless OP events from 28 August 2026 (English OP17) plus any earlier event with OP17 in the name, skipped draft/sealed and fields under 8 players, then kept only pairings where both players submitted a leader. Mirrors and byes are out. Winner -1 (unplayed) is out. That left 832 games from 16 events. A leader needs 8 games to appear in the tables so a 1–0 does not look like a 100% matchup.
This is still online Swiss, not a closed-room lab. Pilots, lists, and round strength vary. The ranking is “who is winning the posted games,” not a guarantee for your locals.
